In the 2022 Easter event, players help the Easter Bunny to make a way to transport eggs across Al Kharid and the Kharidian Desert.

The event can be started outside North of the bank in Al Kharid. The holiday event icon (Holiday event icon.png) displays the location of the event on the world map and minimap.

Walkthrough[edit | edit source]

Starting off[edit | edit source]

Start the Easter event by talking to the Easter Bunny north of the Al Kharid bank. He needs to deliver some Easter eggs deeper in the Kharidian Desert, but they melt very quickly. He will ask you to ask the people of Al Kharid on his behalf for possible solutions to this problem, as they are not used to seeing giant talking pink rabbits. The Easter Bunny suggests talking to Karim, who sells kebabs in the building marked with the Kebab shop icon.png map icon.

Though Karim doesn't have any advice for you, he suggests talking to Shantay at the Shantay Pass south of the city. Head south to the pass and talk to Shantay, who also doesn't have any advice, but recommends you talk to Ali Morrisane, who can be found at the market stall in the north-eastern part of the city. Talk to Ali Morrisane, and he will promise to give you some information in exchange for a favour.

Getting the report[edit | edit source]

Suspicious crate chathead.png

Ali Morrisane will ask you to retrieve a report from an associate hiding in the south-west coast, south of the bank, as he cannot be seen near him. He will then give you a bottle of special hot sauce in case it is needed. Talk to the suspicious crate south of the bank, who is Ali's associate. They will believe that Ali sent you upon smelling the special hot sauce, and requests that you have Karim make them a kebab with the sauce.

Go to Karim, and ask him to make a special super hot kebab. Though he'll advise you to wear gloves, it is not necessary. Return to the suspicious crate and give him the special kebab. After eating it, he will give you the secret report Ali asked you to retrieve.

Return to Ali with the report, and he'll tell you about one of his fellow tradesmen who sells choc-ice, a treat made from a chocolate shell filled with camel milk ice-cream.

Milking camels[edit | edit source]

Cam the Camel chathead.png

Return to the Easter Bunny, and tell him about the choc-ice treats. He will then ask you to milk a camel and gives you a big bucket. The closest camel is Elly the Camel, who is found just east of Ali Morrisane. Use the bucket on her to receive a big bucket of camel milk, and return to the Easter Bunny.

The camel milk will now need to be frozen, and the Easter Bunny will suggest going to Ferox Enclave, as he's heard that powerful magicians gather there. A cutscene will begin in which Phoebe Kay and Camarst are talking in The Old Nite. The Easter Bunny and you will ask Phoebe to freeze some camel milk, and she agrees in exchange for some chocolate chips. She will then ask you to leave the enclave, as Camarst will not let her after an incident involving his friend Jeremy and his eyebrows.

As Phoebe is about to cast the freezing spell on the camel milk, Xi_plzPetDogz_xiX will suddenly appear to attack the Easter Bunny and the player, and is caught in the way of the freezing spell, killing him instantly. Having upheld her end of the deal, she casts Telekinetic Grab on the Easter Bunny and teleports away with his chocolate chips. You and him will also leave, albeit he leaves you behind.

An ice cream machine[edit | edit source]

After the cutscene ends, you will appear just north of the toll gate to Al Kharid. Return to the Easter Bunny, who will now need a churning machine to make the camel milk ice cream. He will suggest speaking to Ellis the tanner to get permission to take his junk behind his building.

Talk to Ellis, who will tell you that you can use the parts, and advises you to speak to Zeke for the mixer. He will also tell you that the vat is dirty with tanning chemicals and will need cleaning. He suggests you speak to Ali Morrisane about how to clean the vat.

Talk to Zeke in the building directly east of Ellis. He will give you a set of blunt scimitars to use as the mixing blades, as he can't sell those. Next, talk to Ali Morrisane, who will tell you that he used to stock vat cleaners until Ellis found it easier to just buy a new vat. However, he has a magical cleaning potion that he acquired a crateful of from a Squire in Falador, which is in fact just mulled wine mixed with holly. In exchange for the potion, he will ask that you inform him of how the Easter Bunny's production of choc-ice eggs goes.

Return to the Easter Bunny, and search the junk just east of him to obtain a dirty vat, a tanning wheel, a washing line, and a wooden pole. Use the cleaning potion on the dirty vat to get a cleaned vat, then use it on any of the churning parts to receive a churning machine.

Making camel milk ice cream[edit | edit source]

Xi_plzPetDogz_xiX attempts to reclaim his items.

Return to the Easter Bunny with the churning machine, who will ask that you cool the machine again at Ferox Enclave. A cutscene will play, again with Phoebe and Camarst. She will agree to freeze the ice cream churn for you as she enjoyed the chocolate chips she acquired from earlier.

As she is about to cast the freezing spell again, the items that Xi_plzPetDogz_xiX had prior to his death appear on the ground. Suddenly, Xi_plzPetDogz_xiX appears once more to pick up his lost items, only to be in the way of Phoebe's freezing spell once again and dies. You will then leave and arrive at the same point as before.

Run south to the Easter Bunny, and he'll give you the bucket of camel milk. Place the frozen churning machine on the dirty ground nearby, add the milk, then operate it. Whilst operating the churn, the Easter Bunny will stop you to add some chocolate chips; resume operating the churn after that.

Lastly, the Easter Bunny will need something to keep the eggs cool once he's made them. You recall the suspicious crate saying the crate he is in is quite cool.

Keeping the eggs cool[edit | edit source]

Talk to the suspicious crate once more. He will tell you that the crate contains some ice coolers, insulated boxes filled with icy water sold by Slayer masters. He will give you a spare cooler, as the crate is already cramped inside.

Return to the Easter Bunny, who has made the ice cream filled egg. He will ask you to test the egg's durability in the desert heat by having a normal Easter egg and an ice cream easter egg together.

Head to the Shantay Pass and remove the eggs from the cooler. Finish the entire dialogue with Shantay and wait for the following messages in the game chat.

  1. You wait...
  2. So far so good...
  3. It's not melted yet...
  4. Still solid...
  5. So tempted to just eat it...
  6. Still looking egg shaped...
  7. ...That's long enough! I should go and let the Easter Bunny know the good news.

Once the player has finished speaking to Shantay, return to the Easter Bunny, who will then reward you for helping him!

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Ali's interest in transporting chocolate through the desert was previously alluded to in the 2022 Birthday event, which had been released two months prior.
  • This event was the second holiday event held in Al Kharid after the birthday event earlier in the year.
  • The secret report given to the player by the suspicious crate contains the MD5 hash (3051710a446269f89718d1ca240ea9bf) of the YouTube URL https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpV-gGA4PSk, a parody video of Rick Astley's "Never Gonna You Up". This is a spin on Rickrolling.
  • The line "Huh. I don't know, I never thought I'd get this far" is a reference to the same quote from the SpongeBob SquarePants episode "Plankton's Army".
  • When deciding a name for the Easter Bunny's new "Chocolate eggs filled with with camel milk ice-cream" (Easter Eggs), the player suggests the name "Cheggs". The Easter Bunny rejects the idea stating that they already have a friend by the name of Scott Chegg. The player is then told to "look him up" as "he's quite famous". This is a reference to the Scotch Egg / Scott Chegg internet meme.
  • After collecting camel milk, the player will exclaim "Not the worst thing I've ever collected from a camel!" This is a reference to ugthanki dung, which is used in several quests.
  • If the player is wearing a Camulet they can ask Al the Camel for camel milk; he will direct you to ask Alice or Elly instead.
  • When Phoebe casts Ice Barrage, it deals 73 damage, which is a reference to the B0aty number.
  • After the player mentions the shipping crate, the Easter Bunny says "That sounds pretty sus". This is a reference to the slang term popularised by the video game Among Us.
