Adamantite ore detail.png

Adamantite ore is an item used for Smithing and can be obtained by mining adamantite rocks at 70 Mining. It grants 95 Mining experience when mined. It is rarely used for training Mining, as its long respawn time of 4 minutes leads to only around 1,425 experience an hour per rock.

Players with 70 Smithing can use one adamant ore and 6 coal in a furnace to create an adamantite bar, granting 37.5 Smithing experience.

Locations[edit | edit source]

Adamantite ore can be mined in many mining sites around Gielinor, such as:

Adamantite ore can also be obtained from cleaning pay-dirt in the Motherlode Mine.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Although adamant is synonymous with hard, immovable, or stubborn, adamant and similar words like adamantite, adamantine (e.g. Virgil on the gate of Tartarus), and adamantium (e.g. Marvel Comics's Wolverine's skeleton) refer to any especially hard substance, whether composed of diamond, some other gemstone, or some type of metal. Both adamant and diamond derive from the Greek word ἀδάμας (adamās), meaning "untameable".
  • Adamantite ore weighs more than other smithing ores, weighing 2.721kg rather than the usual 2.267kg. Mithril ore also does not follow this trend.
