Altar

A player using an altar to recharge prayer points.

An altar is an interactive piece of scenery which allows a player to recharge their Prayer points. To pray at an altar, you must left click on the altar, or right click and select the Pray or Pray-at option. Your character will kneel by the altar and your prayer points will be recharged. To locate an altar, look for the altar icon (Altar icon.png) on the World map or Minimap. A player will receive the message, "You fear the wrath of the gods!" if the player uses an object on an altar that does not create an interaction, similarly to the message, "Nothing interesting happens."

Curiously, there is no altar in Falador, even though the city is dedicated to Saradomin.

The altar at Camelot is oriented the opposite way from most in the game. As this orientation is what would have been the norm in Mediaeval Europe, it is possible that this is a reference to Camelot's mythical origins.
