Arctic Pine

Arctic pines are lumber trees that can be found growing on the Fremennik isle of Neitiznot. They can be cut down at level 54 Woodcutting, granting 40 experience per arctic pine log received. Arctic pine logs can be burned with 42 Firemaking, granting 125 experience, but cannot be made into bows using the Fletching skill.

During and after the The Fremennik Isles quest, arctic pine logs can be crafted on woodcutting stumps to make Neitiznot shields and split logs, requiring 56 Woodcutting. Neitiznot shields, which take two logs to make, also require a bronze nail and rope to complete. Split logs are used to repair bridges on Neitiznot during The Fremennik Isles.

Arctic pines are unique among trees in that they have a swaying animation. They move as though in a light breeze, reflecting Neitiznot's peaceful nature.

Tree locations[edit | edit source]

Arctic Pine trees are found exclusively on the isle of Neitiznot. There are 37 arctic pine trees, 30 of which can be accessed to cut. Arctic pine trees are shown on the World Map and Minimap as a bushy tree World Map Tree 3.png. Arctic pines are the only trees found on the isle of Neitiznot, so any tree seen on the map on Neitiznot is an arctic pine.

Additional Drops[edit | edit source]

  • Beaver – Arctic pine trees have a chance to drop the beaver Woodcutting pet. At level 54 Woodcutting there is a 1 in 144,408 chance to receive the beaver and a 1 in 143,283 chance at level 99.
  • Bird Nest – There is 1 in 256 chance to drop from arctic pines. The bird nest will be dropped on the ground and will despawn after 30 second if not picked up. The Bird nest will be given in place of logs.
  • Clue nest – Arctic pines can drop all clue nests. At level 54 Woodcutting there is an approximately 1 in 946 chance to receive an easy-elite clue nest and a 1 in 732 chance at level 99. Beginner clue nests have a universal 1 in 1000 chance to be dropped.

Mechanics[edit | edit source]

Arctic pine trees have a 1 in 8 chance of depleting when receiving a log, and a respawn time of 14 ticks or 8.4 seconds. A roll to receive a log is done every 4 game ticks when chopping. The chance to successfully chop is affected by the axe used and Woodcutting level, better axes and a higher woodcutting level increases the likelihood of successfully receiving a log.
