Bat bones are a type of bone which are dropped by bats and giant bats. Players will need bat bones for some quests, including Merlin's Crystal, Forgettable Tale..., and Watchtower.

Bat bones give 5.3 Prayer experience when buried. This can be increased by offering the bones in different ways:

• 15.9 XP when casting Sinister Offering.
• 15.9 XP when offered at the Sacred Bone Burner after the appropriate faith level has been achieved.
• 18.5 XP when offered at a gilded altar with two burners lit or at the Chaos Temple.
• 21.2 XP when offered at the Ectofuntus in the form of bat bonemeal.

They can be ground into ground bat bones.
