Black Knights, also known as the Kinshra, are human warriors found mainly in their fortress and stronghold. They are central to the Black Knights' Fortress quest.
Once Wanted! has been completed, Black Knights can be slain in order to raise the player's White Knight rank. As their rank gets higher, they can purchase more white equipment. Even though the quest, as well as White Knight armour, are only for members, non-members are able to increase their rank.

Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Black Knights are some of the oldest non-player characters in RuneScape. When the game was first released, Black Knights were the strongest foes at level 46, and only three of them existed.
- Killing the Black knight found in the Port Sarim Jail will not contribute to the player's White Knight rank.
- Despite only being useful for members, free-to-play players can increase their White Knight rank if they have Wanted! completed.
- Ironically enough, despite the fact that the Black Knights appear to wear Black equipment, they are incapable of dropping it.
