A black desert shirt is an item of clothing that players may find useful when doing the Shadow of the Storm quest. They can make it by using black dye on a normal desert shirt. This can also be done with a desert robe to create a black desert robe.

The quest requires players to be wearing at least three black garments, in order to look evil. Players may already be wearing a desert shirt (since the main part of the quest takes place in the Kharidian Desert), and black mushrooms can be found locally.

This makes it a convenient choice to make the ink and use it to dye the shirt, though players will also need an empty vial and a pestle and mortar with them.

The black desert robes will not protect players from the desert heat effect. This is stated in a warning message shown when attempting to dye them.
