Burnt bones are one of the few bones that free players can bury to train Prayer, with the others being monkey bones, normal bones and big bones. They can be found in the Kebos Battlefront, the Lizardman Canyon, and various locations in the Wilderness.
Burnt bones give 4.5 Prayer experience when buried, or 15.7 xp when offered at the Wilderness chaos altar or a Gilded altar with both burners lit. They can also be turned into burnt bonemeal which gives 18 xp when offered at the Ectofunctus.
It is not recommended to train prayer with burnt bones, as they are no different from regular bones, which are much easier to obtain.
