A butterfly net is an item used in the Hunter skill. It is wielded to capture butterflies, and implings throughout Gielinor and Puro-Puro, and bats in the Chambers of Xeric. A player must have a Hunter level of 1 in order to wield a butterfly net. Where relevant, in order to use the net, butterfly jars and impling jars are also needed.
There is also a magic butterfly net, which basically has the same functions as a regular butterfly net, that increases the player's chances of capturing butterflies, implings, and bats[1] by about 7.8%.[2] It requires a Hunter level of 17 to wield.
Butterfly nets and jars may be bought from Aleck's Hunter Emporium. in Yanille or the Nardah Hunter Shop in Nardah. Alternatively, they could also be obtained from a hunter kit, which is obtained by casting the Hunter Kit spell on the Lunar spellbook, requiring a Magic level of 71. A butterfly net can also be obtained for free from a crate in the north-east corner of Lan the Butcher's house at Land's End.
Players can right-click this net to open the Impling Tracker, which tracks how many implings they've caught both in Puro-Puro and the surface world.
