Cadarn lineage detail.png

Cadarn lineage is a book that recounts the history of the Cadarn Clan, one of the oldest elven families. It is received from Golrie and afterwards may be found in the bookcase of a player-owned house or in the Grand Library in Prifddinas after completion of Song of the Elves.

Transcript[edit | edit source]

The following text is transcluded from Transcript:Cadarn lineage.

The Cadarn clan was one of the eight elven clans that came to Gielinor with Seren during the First Age. Known for their prowess in battle, it was the responsibility of the Cadarn clan to protect the other seven clans from any hostility while colonising this new world.

Not much is known about the first generations of elves to walk this land. The only remaining documentation is the ancestry records. It's not until the start of the Third Age that we find surviving transcripts, but these are few and far between.

In the Third Age, there was constant battling between the different gods and their followers. The need for protection in these troubled times made the Cadarn clan one of the most powerful in the elven domain. After centuries of fighting, the war finally ended when the gods were banished from the world. Seren was presumably banished with them, for their is little mention of her after this.

With the war over, King Baxtorian of the Cadarn clan spearheaded an expansion into the lands east of Tirannwn. For many years, he ruled over a large kindgom that covered much of the area now known as Kandarin.

However, his rule suddenly came to an end when he was suddenly forced to return to Tirannwn. In his absence, his kingdom soon fell. Contact between humans and elves broke off soon afterwards.
