The Ardougne Castle Chest is a thievable chest located on the 1st floor[UK]2nd floor[US] of Ardougne castle. The chest requires 72 Thieving to unlock, and rewards the player with 500 experience each time it is opened.

A door must be lockpicked to gain access to the chest (Note that you should right click on the door and choose "pick lock". You also may fail to pick lock the door, in which case repeat this process until you get past it). The chest must first be searched for traps, upon succeeding the player will trigger a second trap and be teleported to Witchaven. If the player does not search for traps and instead clicks open they will be dealt high damage. There are two of these chests, one in the north and one in the south of the castle. It takes 500 seconds (4 minutes 20 seconds) for the contents of the chest to respawn.

Opening this chest is a task required for the hard tier of the Ardougne diary.

Getting there[edit | edit source]

There are many ways to get to this chest as it is located in a city:

  • Use the Ardougne Teleport spell or teleport tablet and run west.
  • Take the wilderness lever to Ardougne and run east.
  • A spirit tree is located just south of the castle, take any spirit tree to the Battlefield of Khazard and run north to the castle.

Other nearby teleports include the Ardougne cape teleports and Fairy ring code DJP.
