A coin pouch is an item obtained from pickpocketing certain NPCs, which contains a number of coins depending on the NPC it was obtained from. To obtain the coins from them, players can simply click their stack of coin pouches to open them all at once, or they can right-click them to open one at a time. Up to 28 coin pouches can stack in a player's inventory, after which the player must open them to collect the coins inside before being able to pickpocket more.
Coin pouches are obtained every pickpocket from Men, Women, Farmers, Warriors, Warrior women, Guards, Fremenniks, Knights of Ardougne, and Paladins. They can also be obtained occasionally from HAM members, Rogues, Cave goblins, Kharidian Bandits, Watchmen, Gnomes, Heroes, and Elves. Each NPC gives a separate coin pouch; for example, a coin pouch from pickpocketing guards does not stack with pouches from pickpocketing Ardougne knights. NPCs who are pickpocketed via blackjacking yield coins directly while they are knocked out instead of coin pouches.

Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Previously, pickpocketing NPCs would directly yield coins instead of coin pouches. The coin pouch was added as a method to combat autoclicking while keeping experience rates as similar as possible.
- Minutes after release, the game servers were turned off due to an issue caused by coin pouches where on death, any stackable items were turned into a maximum stack of coins (2,147,483,647). The game was rolled back to the time of the update, and after approximately six hours, the servers were online again.[1]
