A dark crab is a type of food that is obtained by cooking a raw dark crab on a fire or a range. Doing so requires a Cooking level of at least 90 and yields 215 Cooking experience. They are a relatively popular food source due to the fact that they heal 22 Hitpoints when eaten.

The tuna potato and manta ray — as well as anglerfish with 93+ Hitpoints — are also foods that heal 22 Hitpoints; however, these foods weigh more than the dark crab. The anglerfish can also heal the player above their base hitpoints.

It is highly recommended to use the range in the Hosidius Kitchen when cooking dark crabs because of the kitchen reducing the chance of burning them. However, wearing the Cooking cape will prevent them from being burnt entirely.
