Dexterous prayer scroll detail.png

Dexterous prayer scrolls are a possible reward from the Chambers of Xeric. Reading a dexterous prayer scroll requires 70 Defence, and allows the player to unlock the prayer Rigour.

A player reading the prayer scroll.

When the player reads the scroll, the chatbox message states You can make out some faded words on the ancient parchment. It appears to be an archaic invocation of the gods! Would you like to absorb its power? (Warning: This will consume the scroll.)

If a player reads the scroll while already having unlocked the prayer, the chatbox message will state You can make out some faded words on the ancient parchment. It appears to be an archaic invocation of the gods. However there's nothing more for you to learn.

History[edit | edit source]

Date Changes
12 January 2017 (update) The prayer scroll was split to exclude Preserve (now unlocked via torn prayer scroll) so that the cost to unlock the Preserve prayer would not be tied to the much higher cost to unlock the other two prayers.
26 January 2017 (update) The prayer scroll was split to exclude Augury (now unlocked via arcane prayer scroll) so that the cost to unlock the Augury prayer would not be tied to the much higher cost to unlock Rigour. This update also made both scrolls twice as common, and all existing prayer scrolls (not torn) were converted into dexterous prayer scrolls.
9 February 2017 (update) The dexterous and arcane scrolls were further made twice as common.
