Dragon defender (t) detail.png

The dragon defender (t) is a dragon defender with a dragon defender ornament kit attached to it. The attached ornament kit gives no additional bonuses, and is only used to add aesthetics to the defender.

The trimmed defender can be dismantled anytime, returning the defender and the tradeable ornament kit.

If the user dies with the trimmed defender in the Wilderness, if it is not protected, the ornament added will be lost on death but the untrimmed defender will be kept in a gravestone. A trouver parchment can be brought to Perdu alongside the item to "lock" it, preventing it from being lost in the Wilderness for one death.

The dragon defender is the item Falo requires players to show him when he sings about: A sword held in the other hand, red its colour, Cyclops strength you must withstand. This trimmed version is also accepted.

Changes[edit | edit source]

Date Changes
18 May 2022

Trouver Parchment can now be used on the Leagues III version of Void Knight Equipment, Dragon Defenders (t) and Rune Defenders (t).

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The dragon defender (t) appears to lack the reddish glow of its regular counterpart.
  • Despite being gold-trimmed, the item's name is inconsistent with most other ornamented dragon equipment, which have (g) at the end of their names rather than (t). The defender shares this inconsistency with the dragon scimitar (or).
  • The dragon defender (t) originally had a slightly different appearance in the inventory. This was changed in response to a reddit thread because the sprite was slightly clipping the border of the offhand slot in the equipment menu.
