The dragon hasta is a one-handed, melee members weapon that requires 60 Attack and Barbarian Training in Smithing to be wielded. It can also be poisoned, just like spears.

Dragon hastae are obtained as loot from the brimstone chest, which requires a brimstone key to open. Brimstone keys are obtained as drops by killing any monsters under an assignment of Konar. The dragon hasta is always broken upon obtainment from the chest and can be repaired, for free, by simply showing it to Otto Godblessed (Barbarian smithing is NOT required either - it's only required for wielding purposes).

Although hastae offer negative defensive bonuses, using them along with a shield will provide players with more defence bonuses than simply using the spear version.

Special attack[edit | edit source]

A player performs the dragon hasta's special attack, Unleash.

The dragon hasta has a special attack called Unleash, which causes the next attack to have a 5% boost in accuracy and a 2.5% boost in damage for every 5% of special attack energy used.

For example, a player with 100% special attack energy who performs the special attack will cause their next attack to have 100% increased accuracy and a damage boost of 50%.
