Dragonfruit detail.png

A dragonfruit is obtained from a dragonfruit tree, which can be grown from a dragonfruit sapling in a fruit tree patch, provided that one has level 81 Farming. Players can pay a gardener a fee of 15 coconuts to watch over the tree while it grows. A fully grown dragonfruit tree grows one dragonfruit per 30 minutes up to a maximum of six per tree.

When eaten, a dragonfruit heals 10 hitpoints. They are an ingredient in dragonfruit pies, which require level 73 Cooking to bake and boost a player's Fletching level by 4 when eaten.

Ten dragonfruits can also be used on a vial to create bottled dragonbreath, which can be used on a sulphur vent on Mount Karuulm to "power" it (this process will burn the player for 2 damage if they are not wearing ice gloves). Once powered, it can be used on a dragonfire shield or ward to fully charge it instantly.

Players may pay six dragonfruits to Alexandra in the Farming Guild to have her look after a planted redwood tree.
