Elemental staves provide an unlimited amount of one of the basic elemental runes (air, water, earth, and fire) or a combination rune (lava, mud, steam, smoke, mist, and dust) and the autocast option when equipped. The staves come in three different types:

  • Basic elemental staves have no requirements to wield. They can be obtained from various sources, including several shops.
  • Battlestaves require 30 Magic and Attack to wield. They can be obtained from various sources, such as Zaff's Superior Staffs! (after completing the quest What Lies Below), and also created by players with the Crafting skill. Battlestaves that provide combination runes cannot be created by players and are only obtainable through trading or monster drops.
  • Mystic staves require 40 Magic and Attack to wield. They can be created by paying Thormac 40,000 coins and giving him a charged battlestaff of the type the player wants (after completing the quest Scorpion Catcher). They can also be obtained through trading or monster drops.

  • Unique and versatile two-handed weapons that facilitate the use of all three combat styles.
