Going on from what was said briefly in Special:Chat last night on the main wiki, I think that administrators of 2007scape Wiki should have access to the ProtectSite tool. I presume it'll be mainly used to prevent anonymous editing over a short period of time, as the vast majority of blocks are anonymous users. Though going on from the mechanics on how it works, it will only be used sparingly in extreme occasions of multiple users causing vandalism at once, and here that would be anonymous users.

I'm sure Spineweilder knows more than anyone that anonymous editors can be troublesome on this wiki, especially where they raid different pages together, as seen yesterday and other occasions. Protecting the page(s) normally did not prevent the anonymous users to carry on with widespread vandalism since they targeted other pages as well, hence ProtectSite would be favorable in this situation. It's also worth noting the main RuneScape Wiki already allows administrators to access ProtectSite. Let me know what you think below of giving administrators access to this tool, then we can let Wikia judge this as to whether they'll grant us access to the tool or not. —Ozank 13:29, February 6, 2015 (UTC)

Oppose - Spine will abuse Jk jk, ProtectSite is a c00l t00l, easy to use and will certainly protect nub IP vandals. Muud Talk to me! | Sign me! | MuudyBot!

Closed - despite the lack of discussion, there's an agreement for the tool to be given to administrators. I've sent a message to Wikia to see what they think about this proposal and I'll post the response below. —Ozank 23:34, April 1, 2015 (UTC)

Response - Wikia have agreed with our proposal and we now have access to the tool. It can be found/used at Special:Protectsite. —Ozank 13:41, April 3, 2015 (UTC)
