Fossilised mushroom detail.png

A fossilised mushroom is a fossil that can be obtained by cleaning an unidentified large fossil on the fossil cleaning bench east of the Museum Camp on Fossil Island.

Uses[edit | edit source]

The mushroom, along with a fossilised branch, roots, stump, and leaf, allows the player to place the set of five in one of five plant displays in the Varrock Museum's paleontology exhibit, located at the bottom floor of the museum, below the natural history exhibit. Each plant display completed will give an antique lamp that gives 5,000 experience in any skill above 35, along with 2 kudos.

Unlike other fossils, plant fossils can not be used at the mycelium pool. Adding them to the pool will cause them to be instantly destroyed, and no products will be received, wasting the fossil.

Lastly, they can be used to give the ancient wyvern shield three charges, or traded to the Fossil Collector in exchange for 300 numulites.
