Gloves of silence are a pair of thieving gloves requiring 54 Hunter to wear. When worn, the gloves reduce your chance of failure while pickpocketing by 5%, eventually breaking after 62 failed pickpockets.
To make the gloves, players must bring two unnoted Dark kebbit furs from the Piscatoris falconry area (level 57 Hunter) and 600 coins to the Fancy Dress Shop in south-east Varrock. Before they break, the gloves can be repaired by using one dark kebbit fur on them, while having one spool of thread, a knife, and a needle in your inventory; repairing them requires level 64 Crafting but does not grant any experience.
The gloves will not degrade if thieving in Ardougne or Gielinor with the medium or hard Ardougne diaries completed, due to the fact that the reduced chance of failure the cloak provides (10%) is higher than that of the gloves and does not stack. This means that the gloves become completely obsolete after the hard Ardougne diary is completed, even if not wearing the cloak, as the effect takes place regardless of if the cloak is worn.
