|Music||City of the Dead, Back to Life|
The Great Temple in Sophanem is the principal place of worship of Icthlarin, god of the dead. It is located in the south-west of the city, between the River Elid and the High Priests' Pyramid. The temple is the seat of the High Priest of Icthlarin, who resides there with his clergy. Although Icthlarin is the main deity worshipped in Sophanem, the temple's altar is also used to revere other gods of the Menaphite Pantheon, such as Tumeken and Elidinis. The Contact! quest is started in the Great Temple, and it is visited frequently during Icthlarin's Little Helper.
The temple has two storeys and an accessible roof, although the only feature of interest, the altar, is on the ground floor[UK]1st floor[US], directly behind the High Priest.
