Prifddinas guards are notable for being the highest combat (and thus strongest) guard of any city in Gielinor. These can be killed when assigned elf tasks. Generally, slaying Prifddinas Guards may be favourable over Elf Warriors and Elf Archers found in Lletya due to them being weak to stab, magic and ranged as opposed to the Elf Warriors which are only weak to magic, or the Elf Archers which are only weak to melee and magic. Additionally, less time is spent running when slaying Prifddinas Guards as pairs of guards are stationed close together - and wander a small open space - at each of the four main Prifddinas entrances. Prifddinas Guards respawn after 18 seconds, making these spots efficient alternatives to slaying Lletya elves.

Trapping market guards[edit | edit source]
It is possible to trap all three of the guards that roam the Prifddinas Marketplace in the Meilyr district. This does require the use of a binding spell, with the normal spellbook's bind, snare and entangle being recommended. This method relies on the guards staying aggressive towards the player, which prevents them from wandering back into the marketplace. Because of the small wandering range of the southernmost guard, the other two guards must be trapped first, otherwise the southern guard loses aggression while trapping the other guards.
First guard[edit | edit source]
First attack one of the northern two guards to draw their attention, and draw it inside of Derwen's food shop just north of the marketplace. Lure it all the way behind the shop counter, and then quickly run outside.
Second guard[edit | edit source]
Then attack the second northern guard, and draw it to the eastern door of the food shop. Stand just inside of the shop, with the guard standing just outside, one square east of you. Then run through the store and exit out the western side, running around and ending up south of the shop. Make sure you end up on a square south of the shop, in order to ensure the guard does not exit the shop. Then slowly walk east, which should trap the second guard behind the counter as well.
Third guard[edit | edit source]
The third guard has a wandering range that does not reach the food store, so he has to be trapped behind the silk stall. This location only has space to trap a single guard, and trapping it requires nudging the guard there. Because guards can attack diagonally with their weapons, the guard must be nudged the right way twice.
First, attack the third guard, and walk to the singular square directly east of the silk stall, which you can stand on. The guard should now be attacking you from the square directly south-west of your square. Then, stand inside the guard and wait for it to walk to the square to the east of you. If the guard walks to another side, simply walk a square to the east and try standing inside the guard again.
After this, the guard must be nudged in the same way to stand on the square directly north of it. Stand inside the guard again, and wait for it to walk a square to the north. If the guard walks to another square, simply reset and try again.
Once the guard is standing in the spot adjacent to the silk stall, on the east side, cast a binding spell on the guard, and run to the middle of the marketplace. Because none of the merchants wander around, this now allows you to thieve from all stalls without being stopped by any NPCs.
