H.A.M. Guards are found in the H.A.M. Hideout, patrolling the entire cave, guarding the Humans Against Monsters' members.
If players have the idea to pickpocket H.A.M. guards downstairs in the store room for clues instead of H.A.M. members in the hideout itself —by the logic that you can't get kicked out there— note that this might not be a good idea if you're pickpocketing solely for clues, since the guards downstairs also give chest keys 50% of the time, meaning that because of it the chances of receiving a clue has been halved (testing determined that the possibility of the drop rate being halved is very likely. The average of the testing was a clue 1/88 pickpockets with 12 clues tested.)
The guards in the store room will give a Bronze, Iron, Silver, or Steel key, randomly, while pickpocketing them. These can be used to open chests in the area for coins, gems, and/or jewellery.
H.A.M. Guards have a weakness to magic, and they can be safespotted in the entrance to the H.A.M Hideout. If you stand in the corner two squares due west of the ladder and then attack with Ranged or Magic a H.A.M Guard that is not due east of you, the guard will come up to the square diagonally south-east of you and cannot reach you. The pathfinding will not go to the square directly east of you.
