|Description||Summons the wrath of Iban|
To cast this spell, the player must be wielding Iban's staff; thus, the player must complete Underground Pass and have level 50 Attack in order to be able to cast this spell. Each cast consumes one charge from Iban's staff when cast on an NPC, or two charges if cast on another player. Thus this spell can be cast a total of 120 times (60 in PvP) before the staff must be recharged. This is increased to 2,500 (1,250 in PvP) with Iban's upgraded staff.
This spell may be autocast with Iban's staff.
Damage[edit | edit source]
Iban Blast can inflict 27 damage with the occult necklace, 28 with the Slayer helmet (i) while on a Slayer task, 31 with the occult necklace and Slayer helmet (i) while on task, or 32 with the occult necklace, an imbued god cape and Slayer helmet (i) while on task.
When wearing an Elidinis' ward (f), occult necklace, tormented bracelet, imbued god cape, ancestral robes and Iban's staff, Iban Blast can deal up to 32 damage. Adding the slayer helmet (i) while on task further increases the maximum damage to 35.
Cost[edit | edit source]
If the player chooses to pay the Dark Mage to recharge the Iban's staff, at a price of 100,000 coins, an additional cost of 833.33 coins per spell should be considered. For the Iban's upgraded staff, the price for recharging is 250,000 coins for 2,500 spells, reducing the additional cost to 100 coins per spell. There's also a way to recharge it for free if you enter the cave from the underground pass through the other side. Travel to Lletya with the teleport crystal and walk north towards the cave entrance. Enter the cave and climb down the well. Make your way to the throne room and open the doors. Use your staff on the well and it will be recharged for free.
Because Iban's staff is required to cast this spell, the player cannot use elemental staves to substitute any of the runes. However, a tome of fire (with charges) in the shield slot may be used to substitute fire runes. Note that Iban Blast is not classified as a fire spell, so casting it will not consume any of the tome's charges and will not provide the 50% damage boost.
