The imbued heart is a magic-boosting item dropped by superior slayer monsters, which are rare encounters unlocked after purchasing the unlock Bigger and Badder for 150 Slayer reward points from any Slayer master.
Players can use the Invigorate option on the heart to temporarily increase their Magic level by 1 to 10 levels (1 + 10% of the player's level, rounded down). It can be activated an infinite number of times, but it can only be activated once every seven minutes per player, regardless of how many imbued hearts are owned. Attempting to use the Invigorate option while it is on cooldown will result in the chatbox message The heart is still drained of its power. Judging by how it feels, it will be ready in around X minutes.
The cooldown resets on death, even in safe minigames such as Castle Wars. The quickest way a player can reset the cooldown is by travelling back and forth through the Clan Wars free-for-all (white) portal, or by drinking from the Pool of Refreshment (which also removes buffed levels), both located in the Ferox Enclave.
Players cannot bring the imbued heart into legacy duels within the Emir's Arena to gain an advantage in magical duels if the "no potions" option is enabled.
The imbued heart can be upgraded to the saturated heart by adding 150,000 ancient essence to it, increasing the Magic boost by +3 and reducing the cooldown by 2 minutes.

Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The imbued heart is the Old School RuneScape equivalent of the Vecna skull in RuneScape.
- The animation that appears when using the imbued heart is a blood red version of the Saradomin sword's special attack.
- Recoloured versions of the imbued heart were used for the Demon's heart that were used to imbue the god capes in the Mage Arena II miniquest prior to the miniquest's rework.
