The infernal max cape is created by using an infernal cape on a max cape. This also requires the max hood be in the player's inventory, upon which it is changed to the infernal max hood. This is a cosmetic upgrade to the infernal cape, and as such does not have any of the max cape's stats or perks. However, the infernal max cape can still be used to perform the skillcape emote.
Mac will refund a max cape variant and its corresponding hood for 1,821,600 coins.
Upon death in level 20 or above Wilderness, the infernal max cape will be converted into coins if not protected. Upon death below level 20 Wilderness, the infernal max cape will remain in their inventory, but will become unusable and must be repaired with 99,000 coins by using it on Perdu.
Unlike the regular infernal cape, infernal max cape cannot be gambled for a chance at Jal-nib-rek.
Given the requirements of obtaining a max cape, along with the difficulty of completing the Inferno, the infernal max cape is the hardest item to obtain in Old School Runescape, requiring great time commitment, resources, and ability.
- ↑ The cost may be higher because of the variant of the item used. The base item is fire cape.
