Juniper charcoal is made on the southern beach of Hosidius, shown on the map as Charcoal burners. To make juniper charcoal, Mature juniper trees (located north of the charcoal burners) must be cut for Juniper logs to add to one of the Charcoal furnaces (maximum 60 per furnace), which are then lit with a tinderbox. Smoggy must be paid 600 coins (per furnace) to watch over the process for you. After 16 hours, 50 juniper charcoal per log added can be collected from furnace, producing up to 3,000 juniper charcoal per furnace.

Juniper charcoal is one of the ingredients needed to make dynamite; the others being volcanic sulphur, saltpetre, a pot, and a ball of wool. Each pot of dynamite created gives 0.1% Lovakengj favour. Dynamite is used in the Blast Mine minigame, requiring 100% Lovakengj favour to participate.
