To begin the tasks, players must speak to various dwarves in Keldagrim. Certain shopkeepers will often ask the player to retrieve items for them. For the most part these correspond to the dwarf's job. For instance, Agmundi, the owner of Agmundi Quality Clothes, will ask for items such as thread.
The player will have 10–25 minutes to retrieve the items. If the player brings the items to the dwarf in time, they will usually get to choose their reward: either a few hundred or thousand coins or 150-500 experience in a certain skill(s). The experience corresponds to the items retrieved, meaning that players can receive either Attack, Crafting, Defence, Mining, or Smithing experience depending on the task.
Task-givers[edit | edit source]
There are seven dwarves who can request tasks. Only one of them has a task to give at any point in time. Each time that a task is fulfilled or failed, a different dwarf from the previous one is randomly chosen to be the new task-giver. Each of the shopkeepers seems to have even chances of being chosen, while the rowdy dwarf is selected much less frequently. If the player wishes to receive a different task rather than fulfilling their current one, there are two ways to do so: either log out or talk to the dwarf and refuse to finish the job. Doing either of these will randomly select a new task-giver.
- Agmundi, owner of Agmundi Quality Clothes in the western marketplace
- Gunslik, owner of Gunslik's Assorted Items in the western marketplace
- Hervi, owner of Green Gemstone Gems in the eastern marketplace
- Santiri, owner of Quality Weapons Shop in the northwestern part of the city
- Saro, owner of Quality Armour Shop in the southwestern part of the city
- Tati, owner of Pickaxe-Is-Mine in the eastern part of the city
- The rowdy dwarf, drunkenly circling the Laughing Miner Pub
Item Requests[edit | edit source]
An item request usually consists of 2-5 of a certain item. The following tables list the items that each dwarf can request, along with the XP awarded per item. Ores award either GP or Mining XP; bars, GP or Smithing XP; armour, GP or Defence XP; weapons, GP or Attack XP; crafting items, GP or Crafting XP. The rowdy dwarf never requests more than 1 item, and only awards GP. The list of items which he can request is probably much larger and more random than the others.
Experience and gold shown are per item.
