Limpwurt root detail.png

Limpwurt roots are used in the Herblore skill to make strength potions and super strength potions. They are also used in free-to-play to obtain strength potions and energy potions from the Apothecary. Free players can easily obtain limpwurt roots from both hill giants and hobgoblins.

Farming[edit | edit source]

Members can also grow limpwurt roots from limpwurt seeds, requiring 26 Farming to plant and harvest. Limpwurt root takes 20 minutes to grow. The number of roots each seed yields is random but scales with the player's Farming level, with the minimum being three and the maximum being three plus one for every ten Farming levels the player has, a maximum of 12 at 90-99 Farming, or 13 with a boost to 101+ Farming.[1] As a result, compost and its stronger variants do not affect the number of roots harvested.

15 limpwurt roots can be used as payment for the squirrel gardeners to protect the player's teak trees on Fossil Island.

Quests[edit | edit source]

20 unnoted limpwurt roots must be given to Winelda during the Temple of Ikov quest.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • According to the official bestiary, hobgoblins often chew limpwurt roots, which explains the common drop of these roots for hobgoblins.
  • In the update on 23 August 2018 that improved limpwurt root yields from limpwurt seeds, Nechryael and Kurasks' limpwurt root drops were changed to single limpwurt seeds. This caused an increase in the Grand Exchange price of limpwurt roots.
