Details[edit | edit source]

Walkthrough[edit | edit source]

Note: You must keep your seal of passage, once obtained, on you at all times while on the Lunar Isle. If you do not, you will be teleported off of the isle if you try to talk to any NPC.

The lantern given during the quest does not come with oil in it, so bring a lightable regular bullseye lantern. If you put the emerald lens in the given lantern, drop it and ask for a new lens, which you then use on your working brought bullseye lantern.

Starting out[edit | edit source]

Items needed for this part of the quest: Tinderbox, Bullseye lantern (one that you can light).

Recommended: House teleport tablet or runes.

  • Talk to Lokar Searunner on the western most Rellekka docks. (Chat 211)
  • Speak to Brundt the Chieftain in the Longhall for a seal of passage. (Chat 1)
  • Return to Lokar. (Chat 1)
  • Climb the ladders, and board the pirate ship. Talk to Captain Bentley about sailing to Lunar Isle. (Chat 4)
  • Speak to Captain Bentley again.
  • Climb down the nearby south stairs through the door, talk to 'Birds-Eye' Jack.

  • Climb back down the stairs and return to 'Birds-Eye' Jack again.
  • Climb back up the stairs and report back to Captain Bentley.

Talking to the crew[edit | edit source]

  • Must talk to them in order.
  • Talk to 'Eagle-eye' Shultz at the very front (North-end) of the ship.
  • Talk to the Cabin Boy up one deck from the captain (south).
  • Talk to 'Beefy' Burns on the lowest level of the ship.
  • Talk to 'Lecherous' Lee at the very top-rear of the ship.
  • Talk to First mate 'Davey-boy', on the deck level, south room.
  • Climb back up to the top, talk to the Cabin boy (2 inventory spaces required).

Searching for clues[edit | edit source]

  • Use the emerald lens on the bullseye lantern you brought. Light it with your tinderbox.
    • If you didn't bring a lightable lantern, you can make lamp oil in Rimmington and add it to the bullseye lantern (unf) given by the Cabin boy, after using the emerald lens on it. If you lose your emerald lens for any reason, you can ask the Cabin boy for another one.
    • If you still own a sapphire lantern from the Tears of Guthix quest, you can use the emerald lens on the sapphire lantern.
  • Use the lantern on the following objects, and rub away the symbols:
    • Cannon: Eastern cannon a few steps away (same level as Cabin boy).
    • Wallchart: Climb down the stairs, southernmost room.
    • Chest: Lowest level of the ship, northern chest.
    • Support pillar: Same level, just north of Beefy Burns, the cook.
    • Crate: Directly east of the cooking range.
  • Talk to Captain Bentley.
