The listed profit rate assumes 30 kills per hour, but up to 34 is possible with maxed stats and gear. Your expected profit will vary depending on your kills per hour.

For overall boss strategy, please see the strategy page for Vorkath.

Even when on a Slayer task, the Neitiznot faceguard/Salve amulet (ei) combo is better than the Slayer helm/amulet of torture combo.

Before the fight starts, equip the Bandos godsword and use one special attack on Vorkath with Piety and Protect from Magic active. Regardless of whether the special attacks hits or misses, equip your dragon hunter lance and defender and proceed with the fight as normal. Alternatively, dragon claws can be used as a special attack weapon, being slightly more effective but also more costly.

Protecting from Magic is necessary to prevent dragonfire damage from Vorkath; however, due to the high-defence melee gear worn in this setup, damage taken from ranged and melee attacks should be minimal.

In the full melee setup, it is possible that your magic attack bonus may be below -65, which means your Crumble Undead cast will splash on the undead spawn. To prevent this, equip your Bandos godsword when Vorkath freezes you, then cast Crumble Undead. Alternately, switch to a Slayer's staff to autocast Crumble Undead. As long as your magic attack bonus is above -65, you will always one-shot the undead spawn with the spell.

After the kill, you should restore your health and prayer, re-equip your Bandos godsword and prepare to spec if energy is available.

You should expect a minimum of 4-6 kills per trip with 90+ combat stats, limited by inventory space, with more being possible with good luck. Because of the high number of kills per trip, leaving behind unnoted dragonhides and restarting a trip when full on bones is generally the accepted strategy to maximise profit. If somehow looking to extend kills per trips beyond 6, consider bringing runes for High Level Alchemy.
