Guide is calculated based on 950 gems per hour.

Mining gems in Shilo Village Mine with Karamja gloves 3 or 4 and a Dragon or Crystal pickaxe and a charged amulet of glory can be very profitable. Players can bank in the conveniently located Bank Deposit Chest in the underground mine. All in all, players can average up to 400-950 gems an hour and get roughly between 242,666.92 and 576,333.94 profit predicated on levels, efficiency, and luck.

If a player has obtained the gem bag from the Motherlode Mine they can use it to save inventory space by storing standard uncut gems. This can be combined with fletching uncut opal and uncut jade into bolt tips, leaving the remaining 24 inventory spaces to be filled with uncut red topaz, maximising profit in the above ground mine. In the underground section where it is possible to mine continuously, using a gem bag should increase experience and profit by roughly 2% through time saved between inventory deposits without tick manipulation.

Players who have completed the Hard Karamja Diary gain access to the underground portion of the gem mine, which has an additional 48 gem rocks, and a Bank Deposit Chest. With tick manipulation at high efficiency, mining in the underground section of the mine at 99 Mining can yield 105,000-115,000 Mining experience and up to 1,650 gems per hour, totaling up to 1,001,001.05 profit.

Mining a gem rock is worth 605.61 on average. A simple way to determine gp/hour at any given level is to divide the exp/hour by exp per gem rock (65), and then multiply by the gem rock value.
