Murky Matt is one of the "Market Price Guides" near the east side of the Grand Exchange. He tells the player current prices of runes.

Murky Matt can combine players' enchanted jewellery charges, much like decanting. For example, he can combine two games necklace(1)s into one games necklace(2). He will accept both unnoted and noted jewellery. He will not, however, combine items if they have more charges than their normal capacity, such as amulets of glory charged to 6 charges at the Fountain of Rune. He can also enchant ruby rings into rings of forging for 250 coins each.

Murky Matt will only decant Pharoah's sceptres with the amount of charges you have unlocked from the desert diary.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Matt is apparently the brother of Murky Pat, a pirate currently working aboard the Lady Zay in the Lunar Sea. It is noted that if a player who has completed Lunar Diplomacy talks to Matt, he will mention a group of pirates who were stuck for days sailing around in circles, which is a reference to the quest.
  • If players wait long enough, they can see Murky Matt yelling phrases such as, "Yarr, I'm gonna be rich!" or "No! Me prices, they be goin'down!"
