POH portal

This article is about the entrance to a player's house. For the room where players can build teleportation portals, see Portal Chamber. However, for cave entrances, see List of dungeons.

The POH portal, commonly referred to as a house portal, is the entrance to a player-owned house (POH), the main feature of the Construction skill.

POH Portal

To use the portal, left-click on the portal and then choose one of the four presented options:

  • Enter your own house (only works if your house is in the same location as the portal)
  • Enter your own house in building mode (only works if your house is in the same location as the portal)
  • Go to another player's house (only works if their house is in the same location as the portal, they are on the same world, they are in their house, and they have private chat set so that you can message them)
  • Take no action

Travelling to house portals[edit | edit source]

The most basic way to get to a house is by walking to the portal that is in the location of the house. At level 40 Magic, players can use the Teleport to House spell to teleport directly into the player's own house. Using a house teleport tablet is another option that only uses one inventory space and does not require a Magic level to use. In the house options screen, players can choose whether the house teleports land the player in the house itself or outside the portal.

House portal locations[edit | edit source]

Estate agents can move a player's house from its starter location in Rimmington to any of the other house portal locations identified by the portal House portal icon.png icon on the map. These locations are Rimmington, Taverley, Pollnivneach, Hosidius, Rellekka, Brimhaven, and Yanille. Each location requires a certain Construction level, and the estate agent charges a fee for each move. The details are shown in the table below.

Additional house location info[edit | edit source]

Location Advantages Disadvantages Skill Usage
Rimmington
  • Since the NPC Phials was added into the general store to un-note your items (for a fee), Rimmington is now the best location for a Gilded altar.
  • There are 2 oak trees only steps away from the portal, and 4 yew trees just west of the portal. Willow trees can be found just south of Rimmington center.
  • The nearby mine has 2 clay rocks on the far east side.
  • Only minutes away from Port Sarim, and thus most of RuneScape and Pest Control.
  • There is a bush patch right next to the house portal.
  • Bank is not far away via boat to Corsair Cove (requires completion of Corsair Curse quest.)
  • Relatively far from a bank if Corsair Curse not completed.
Taverley
  • Far fewer nearby resources compared to Rimmington.
  • Nearest bank is the Rogues' Den.
