Papyrus (unobtainable item) detail.png

Used papyrus is an unobtainable item that was released during the RuneScape 2 beta. It is a version of Papyrus that has been used to write something using Charcoal. Presumably, it was intended to be used during Shilo Village, which had been slightly reworked during the transition to RuneScape 2. However, for unknown reasons the used papyrus was never added to the game.

If the player loses the Bervirius notes at any point during the quest, they must recreate them using both Papyrus and Charcoal. It is possible therefore that the used papyrus would have either been a product of this action, or merely appear as a chatbox message similar to the Locating crystal.

Regardless, used papyrus has never been available in Old School RuneScape. However, it remains in the game files.
