Raw oomlie may be obtained by killing the oomlie birds found in the depths of the Kharazi Jungle, South of Shilo Village. To get into the Kharazi Jungle, the player must have started Legends' Quest. Used with a palm leaf, it is a primary ingredient in the oomlie wrap. Eating one is a hard task in the Karamja Diary. It requires level 50 Cooking to make. The raw oomlie always burns if cooked by itself.

Raw oomlie is sometimes given as a tip from the Gnome Restaurant minigame.
