One Small Wiki Favour is a project to improve the Old School RuneScape Wiki, where wiki users can contribute to a number of ongoing wiki tasks and qualify for receiving in-game rewards, including bonds. Anyone is welcome to participate, whether you're completely new to the wiki or you've been here for a while. If you have not edited before, then this is a great time to get involved!

To participate in this project, take a look at the tasks below and find one that looks exciting -- completing any one of them will earn you a share of a bond. Each task has some advice on how to effectively tackle it, but we strongly recommend joining the #oswf-osrs channel in our Discord to coordinate with other editors, discuss the project, and claim your rewards.

  • You must have a wiki account and cannot be blocked. Anonymous edits will not count. You can sign up for a wiki account at Special:CreateAccount.
  • The reward for completion of a task will be one bond or equivalent coins. If multiple editors contribute to a goal then the prize may be split between them.
  • Partial rewards may be awarded for completing part of a task, with a minimum award at 25% of a bond.
  • A task must be completed in its entirety before any bonds or partial bonds are awarded for that task.
  • If you are awarded a bond or a share of a bond, you can get in contact with one of the project runners on Discord, and claim it in-game.
  • You can claim a maximum of two bonds over each two week period that tasks are active.

Current tasks active until

16 May

If you have worked on a goal and want to be considered for a bond, please let us know in the #oswf-osrs Discord channel. One of the project helpers will check your contributions and may award you a bond if you have completed the task. If you have done work on a goal but not managed to complete it fully before the reset time then you may still be rewarded some coins for your work.

Inventory options for items - Task completed

Fill in inventory options for 400 item pages

Edit right-click options from this spreadsheet, for item pages in this list.

Go to User:Joeytje50/Needs options for a list of pages.
  • Click a page in the list, and edit it with the source editor.
  • If the page is missing on the spreadsheet, or there's a warning for the selected item (column E), skip this one.
  • If the spreadsheet for that item lists only a single version (column C), copy the "actions" value from column D.
  • Right above where |destroy = is listed on the page, add a line with |options = and then paste the value you copied
    • If the item has multiple versions with different options, instead fill in options1 for the options for the first version, options2 for the second version, and so on.
    • If a version has no options at all, options1 = None filled in (replacing 1 with the correct number).
    • If an item is not listed on the spreadsheet at all, skip this item.
Note that the options listed should exclude the "Use" and "Examine" options, due to them being available on all items, and the "Drop/Destroy" options due to those already being specified elsewhere in the infobox. This should already be taken care of on the spreadsheet.

Various non-interactive scenery pages - Task active

Make 20 pages of random scenery articles from this list.

See the example pages below. You can fill in almost all of the data from a database we have already.

See the Minimal OSRS Object Database for most of the information needed to create these pages. You can search by object ID.

We recommend prioritizing scenery objects that actually exist by default in the game already - check out the "MEJ" link on MOOD to see if there are any occurrences of the object by default already.

See Cello and Sandy's Coffee Mug for two great examples of random scenery pages. Each page should have:

  • {{Infobox Scenery}}, including:
    • Release date, if you can figure it out (most should be obtainable from this sheet)
    • An image, copied from MOOD
    • Whether or not the scenery is members-only
    • Location
    • Right-click options (can be taken from MOOD)
    • Examine (from MOOD)
    • A map of the exact location of the scenery. You can get the exact coordinates from the "MEJ" link on MOOD.
  • A couple sentences describing the scenery.
Please come join the Discord if you aren't sure about how to page these pages!

Farming crop pages - Task active

Create a complete scenery page for 10 Farming crops on this list.

Each of the listed crops needs a page. The general page structure can be copied from existing pages.

Go to User:Joeytje50/Farming and look for a row in the table that does not yet have a check mark next to it.
  • Open the plant page (second column) in a new tab. Keep the list page open for reference.
    • If it redirects you to another page, such as a non-farming tree or the seed page, click the link at the top that says "Redirected from (link)".
  • Click "Edit source" if you are not already in an edit interface
  • Add each of the elements that are listed at the top of the same list page on the new page.
  • Remember to edit the seed page to add a link to the crop in the farming infobox, as explained on the list page.
For two examples of what the pages should look like, you can check the Apple tree or Papaya tree pages.

Add maps to pages - Task active

Add maps to 100 pages missing a map from this list.

For pages that do not yet have a map, add one for the location the NPC, monster or object can be found.

Go to Category:Needs map and open a page.
  • Edit source on the page
  • In the code for the infobox, look for the id parameter and copy the listed number.
    • If id1, id2, etc. are listed, repeat this process for each of the versions.
    • If a comma-separated list is given for the id, skip this page.
  • Go to and look up the copied ID:
    • If the page you are editing is a NPC page, click the first icon in the bottom-left corner on that link (the purple icon)
    • If the page you are editing is a scenery page, click the second icon in the bottom-left corner on that link (the scroll icon)
  • If there are no results for this page, you can set the parameter to map = No. If it seems like a complex case, feel free to ask in our Discord!
  • You will be using the pins that appear to create a map on the page.
    • Clicking on a pin will open up a list of details, which also lists "x = <number>" and "y = <number>", which are the values that need to be added to the maps.
  • On the page you're editing, right above the id parameter you should see a map parameter. If not, add the parameter.
    • If instead the page lists id1, id2, etc. then a map1 and map2 should be added for each of those versions.
  • Fill the parameter with the following code to generate a map:
    • if there is just a single pin that appeared on the map: {{Map|x=X1|y=Y1|plane=0|r=4|mapID=-1|mtype=square}}. Replace the X1 and Y1 in the code with the pin location
    • if there are multiple pins that appeared on the map: {{Map|X1,Y1|X2,Y2|plane=0|mapID=-1|mtype=pin}}. Fill in the respective X1,Y1 and X2,Y2 (etc.) pairs for each of the pins.
  • For objects found in dungeons or an upper floor of a building (indicated by a grey pin on the lookup map), modify the plane parameter accordingly.

Crowdsourcing Pest Control herb packs and seed packs - Task completed

Track 15 Herb or 30 Seed packs from the Pest Control store in our spreadsheet.

Fill in the results in the spreadsheet. A minimum amount of packs must be submitted to qualify for a reward.

In the relevant column in the spreadsheet, fill in a line of your rewards for every pack you opened. Each pack must be entered on a separate line.

In order to qualify for the reward, you must submit at least 5 herb packs or 10 seed packs.

Please let us know if you're starting this task – we will probably limit the total number of responses.
