Scorpia page broken[edit source]

I'm unfamiliar with formatting, there is an error on Scorpia's page which is making it not show her stats.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 16:01, 19 December 2019 (UTC).

Can you elaborate on the error? Everything looks okay on my end: 40bC3LS.png 💬 Dalek Sec ✒️ 16:10, 19 December 2019 (UTC)

MMG/Crafting Gold Bracelets[edit source]

I too need help editing a page, "[[Money_Making_Guide/Crafting_Gold_Bracelets]]". I saw this wasn't a page on the money making guide, when I think it should be. However, as you can see by looking at the page I don't know what I'm doing. Any help is much appreciated.

Chart Moving Averages[edit source]

Hi ! I use your charts alot ! Could you please add a feature to add several Moving Averages to the same item on the graph. For example: Logs. Be able to add multiple moving averages to view all at the same time. ex: 7day avg 30 day avg and 90 day avg all in the same chart.

Thanks! Mindseye6 (talk) 01:20, 12 January 2019 (UTC)

Vial Smash page redirects to Barbarian Guard[edit source]

Just wanted to see if this was intentional as I cannot see information regarding the Vial Smash, but instead just information on Barbarian Guards. Thanks!  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86ed (talk) on 16:42, 27 January 2019 (UTC).

Spell Table Costs[edit source]

In the "Spell cost table", Tome of Fire = Fire Rune

In combat spells (e.g. Fire Wave) the spell cost table doesn't reflect the price per charge of fire tome (212.9) but instead implies it's free fire runes forever

I don't know how to fix that but I thought it was worth mentioning so someone who knows can fix it.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Rufus Rufus (talk) on 21:40, 19 February 2019 (UTC).

Formatting error[edit source]

In the Pay-to-play Runecrafting training guide there is a small formatting error in the Abyss Runecrafting section where the text Players worried about defence can use the listed gear: is 'floating' in the middle of the page instead of just above the equipment table it's referring to. I am unable to change this, as nothing happens upon saving the edit. Hopefully someone can fix this.  —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Krokuspokus (talk) on 19:29, 25 February 2019 (UTC).

Slayer monster category[edit source]

There is something wrong with the Slayer monster category / Category:Slayer monsters, it appears that every single attackable monster is listed there even though many of them cannot be assigned as slayer monster i.e. Fire Wizard, Hazeel Cultist, Gadderanks and many many others. I assume it's because they all got the slaylvl and slayxp variables, but can it be so they won't be categorized as slayer monsters when they aren't? 19:27, 2 May 2019 (UTC)

Spinning plates error[edit source]

I just noticed that in the article about spinning plates it states that "Usually, the plate will fall and the player will do the cry emote. Occasionally, the plate will continue to spin, and the player will make the cheer emote". I however noticed that the plate never fell with me (I bought a spinning plate and spun it in my poh at least 5 times without it falling). not the most important info, but I tought I'd tell you guys. - —The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk) on 19:33, 28 June 2019 (UTC).

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, I've fixed the error in question. If you see any more errors, feel free to correct them. --dDbvitC.png Scuzzy Beta hib8CAd.png 00:59, 12 July 2019 (UTC)

Moving farming contracts to their own page[edit source]

The most helpful information on farming contracts on the Wiki is currently attached to the page for Guildmaster Jane. I find that 100% of the time I spend on this page is for farming contracts rather than that NPC. It would make sense to me to have Farming contracts have their own Wiki page, rather than piggybacking on an NPC page. The info could also instead be added to the Farming Guild page, where the current information on contracts is fairly lacking. I would be happy to do this myself, but I'm not comfortable making such large edits without permission, and there are other issues I'm not experienced enough to resolve (for example 'farming contract' currently redirects to Guildmaster Jane), I've added a note on the Talk:Guildmaster Jane article to this effect. Thanks! FailGun (talk) 13:02, 7 June 2019 (UTC)

New hard clue cryptic steps with the "Song of the Elves" update[edit source]

I can't for the life of me figure out how to edit the hard clue page to add in a new clue step, but besides that, there's a riddle that goes "A general who sets a 'shining' example" and its a puzzle box from General Hining at the Tyras Camp. Apologies, Zeaddone (talk) 11:27, 25 July 2019 (UTC)

Arceus Reanimation Spell Cost[edit source]

I wanted to see the General Exchange prices for each reanimation spell including the heads, but couldn't figure out how to edit the spell costs table to include an additional row (for people who wanted to buy runes+heads). Is that something that would have to be implemented with an update to the Module:spell_cost_table Lua script? Thanks, -Eckusudee (talk) 10:36, 28 July 2019 (UTC)

What is the best way to sandbox CSS for a sandboxed template and eventually add my CSS to a non-sandboxed template?[edit source]

I've been making a template that emulates the appearance of the rune pouch so a user can make mock interfaces for loadouts. I have been testing the module and template using the Sandbox domain under my own user. What is a good way to add CSS that applies only to that page for testing?

I've been using templates that are similar to my project as a guide. Templates like Template:Inventory appear to have their CSS get added to the entire sites CSS via MediaWiki:Common.css, which is protected for good reason. Once my template is fully functioning, how do I go about adding my .less file under MediaWiki:Common.css?

LegendOfBrian (talk) 00:53, 20 August 2019 (UTC)

This can be done by creating User:LegendOfBrian/common.css. Keep in mind that for it to be pushed site wide, you'd have to contact an administrator such as myself. --dDbvitC.png Scuzzy Beta hib8CAd.png 01:13, 20 August 2019 (UTC)

Dark mode textbox selection highlight is the same colour as the background[edit source]

When in the source editor with night mode enabled, selecting text is the same colour as the texbox background, making it impossible to see what is selected. Can this be changed with custom user CSS, and is the theme wiki-specific or is this from upstream? Yourkittenishungry (talk) 00:18, 20 September 2019 (UTC)

This is probably just a CSS issue. Thanks for letting us know, I'll take a look at it tomorrow. --dDbvitC.png Scuzzy Beta hib8CAd.png 04:08, 20 September 2019 (UTC)

Approval of Guthix, Zaros and Elidinis articles[edit source]

It has bothered me for quite some time, that despite I have made numerous updates (and I believe increased the quality substantially) to the articles about the gods: Guthix, Zaros and Elidinis, that they are still marked for cleanup. I don't know if I have permission to remove such tags, but I would very much like to see these articles approved, and no longer having the cleanup-tag. Can I go ahead and delete them, or do I need approval first? Exaldin (talk) 17:04, 2 October 2019 (UTC)

Those tags are added ad-hoc. If you think they're sufficient enough to have the tag removed, feel free to do so. --dDbvitC.png Scuzzy Beta hib8CAd.png 17:15, 2 October 2019 (UTC)

Better pictures of windows[edit source]

I suspect that walls and windows are different from game objects, so my question is: Is it possible to get better picture of the stained glass windows from the church of Hosidius and Slepe? File:Icyene window.png File:Dark Icyene window.png Exaldin (talk) 19:11, 12 January 2020 (UTC)

Thanks to abex, I've uploaded some high-quality renders of the windows. Hopefully those work :) and to answer your question, walls and windows are in fact still game objects. These windows are each a combination of four game objects making up that portion of the wall. For example, the dark icyene window is a combination of object ids 32612-32615, which you can check out here. BigDiesel2m (talk) 04:27, 8 February 2020 (UTC)
Thank you very much, this is much better Exaldin (talk) 15:04, 9 February 2020 (UTC)

Scroll of redirection[edit source]

Fixing the stock[edit source]

Could someone fix the stock for the sawmill page? There are some variables, that needs to be set, but I don't know how. I've hidden the stock for now until they are corrected. Exaldin (talk) 20:48, 12 February 2020 (UTC)

Thanks, fixed it. Chen (talk) 20:52, 12 February 2020 (UTC)

Why no preview pictures?[edit source]

I would just like to know why all the blessed d'hide set pages such as Armadyl blessed dragonhide armour does not come with a preview picture while Armadyl rune armour does? Even though the pages are very similar, can it be fixed? Exaldin (talk) 22:36, 22 February 2020 (UTC)

Are you still having this issue? I'm not fully sure what the issue is, I don't see anything weird on my end between the two pages. Legaia 2 Pla · ʟ · 23:44, 29 February 2020 (UTC)
Nevermind, the issue was pointed out to me, not sure what's going on. I tried adjusting the image size to see if that was the issue why it's not displaying. Legaia 2 Pla · ʟ · 23:58, 29 February 2020 (UTC)
The only thing, I would think could cause it, is the length of the article (number of keystrokes), short articles tend not to have preview pages. But I don't know the process of how previews are made. Exaldin (talk) 16:09, 1 March 2020 (UTC)
On second thoughts I take that back. Pages like "Implings" is pretty long and does not have a preview picture either. Exaldin (talk) 16:35, 1 March 2020 (UTC)
I looked into this, and for a short answer, it's because the dragonhide armour image is skinnier than the rune armour image. More information on how the preview image is selected can be found at this link, but the gist of it is, the algorithm is looking for an image that fits a set of standards, with regards to its dimensions and ratios. I'm not really sure if this could be fixed by taking a larger equip image of the dragonhide set (so it would fall within the 400px-600px range) or if it has more to do with the ratio, which is close to 3:1 for the dragonhide and closer to 2:1 for the rune (which wouldn't be solved by retaking the image). BigDiesel2m (talk) 17:34, 1 March 2020 (UTC)
Thanks, I'll just leave it then. Exaldin (talk) 18:38, 1 March 2020 (UTC)

NPC map troubles[edit source]

Tried adding an NPC map for King Lathas recently. I'm puzzled why it didn't seem to work. Tried disabling ad-blockers ãnd refresh but it didn't help, all I got was a black map image. Can someone shed some light on this? Thanks. --The scribe (talk) 00:01, 23 February 2020 (UTC)

Were you trying to add it in the infobox? What code were you using to add it? - Chaos tiara chathead.png Elessar2 (talk) 00:05, 23 February 2020 (UTC)
Yes, I was trying to add it to the infobox. You can preview the change from the page history. For some reason adding the template on this page (User Help) resulted in the map showing up correctly. However the question remains why it didn't work on the King Lathas page. --The scribe (talk) 00:26, 23 February 2020 (UTC)
Ok, so I found out what caused this, but it appears that the issue needs a code-fix. This happened because there is two versions of the NPC. If i change the infobox to just display one version of the NPC, the map shows up correctly. Tried changing the map parameter to map1 and map2 but that didn't fix the problem. --The scribe (talk) 02:26, 23 February 2020 (UTC)
Yeah, interactive maps don't play nice with Infoboxes that have multiple versions. We're hoping to fix that issue, but in the meantime we'll just have to use static image maps for those pages. :) BigDiesel2m (talk) 02:58, 23 February 2020 (UTC)
