Counts how much "fresh" wool the player has acquired while tasked by Gregg to shear three sheep for "fresh" wool, while the 2021 Easter event is active.

Rules and behaviour[edit source]

For each sheep sheared, this varbit's value may increment by one with the following rules:

  • If RS:Varbit/11951 value is ≤ 50 (the player is not tasked to shear the sheep), this counter does not increment.
  • If RS:Varbit/11951 value is ≥ 51 (the player has agreed to shear sheep), this counter can increment up to 3.

Every time Gregg is given "fresh" wool (use wool on Gregg, or talk-to Gregg) while he's looking for pieces of wool, up to X available wool is removed from the player's inventory, where X is this counter's value. For each wool removed this way, this counter's value is decremented by X amount. If RS:Varbit/11951 is 51, it will be first set to 52. For each wool removed this way, RS:Varbit/11951 will be incremented by X pieces of removed, up to the remaining (3/2/1) pieces of wool needed, until RS:Varbit/11951 reaches value 55.

If the player's inventory is full while shearing the sheep, the value will still be incremented according to rules above. The wool from the sheep will be placed on the ground this way. The wool acquired from sheep is regular wool (item ID 1737) for all intents and purposes, not any kind of special Easter event wool with a different item ID.

Dropping wool from the player's inventory does not decrement this counter's value.

If this counter's value is 0 and if the player has wool in their inventory, Gregg will exclaim the wool is not fresh: Human, I don't think that wool is fresh.

Attempting to shear The Thing will not increment this counter.

The sheep do not have to be sheared at the Lumbridge sheep pen.

Examples[edit source]

  • The player's inventory has 0 pieces of wool. Gregg is still looking for more pieces of wool. The counter's value is ignored. Gregg's dialogue will have options to talk about.
  • The player's inventory has 1 piece of wool. The counter's value is 0. If Gregg is still looking for pieces of wool, Gregg will exclaim the wool is not fresh. Alternatively if Gregg already has the three pieces of wool, he will decline the wool. In both scenarios, the player keeps the wool.
  • The player's inventory has 2 pieces of wool. The counter's value is 1. Gregg has 0 pieces of wool. The player hands over Gregg one wool, one wool is removed from the player's inventory, RS:Varbit/11951 is set to 52 + 1 = 53, and this counter is decremented by one (set to 0).
  • The player's inventory has 2 pieces of wool. The counter's value is 3. Gregg has 0 pieces of wool. The player hands over Gregg two wools, two wools are removed from the player's inventory, RS:Varbit/11951 is set to 52 + 2 = 54, and this counter is decremented by two (set to 1).
  • The player's inventory has 3 pieces of wool. The counter's value is 2. Gregg has 0 pieces of wool. The player hands over Gregg two wools, two wools are removed from the player's inventory, RS:Varbit/11951 is set to 52 + 2 = 54, and this counter is decremented by two (set to 0). The player keeps one "non-fresh" wool in the inventory, which can be considered "fresh" if the player shears one more sheep later.
  • The player's inventory has 4 pieces of wool. The counter's value is 3. Gregg has 0 pieces of wool. The player hands over Gregg three wools, three wools are removed from the player's inventory, RS:Varbit/11951 is set to 52 + 3 = 55, and this counter is decremented by three (set to 0). The player keeps one wool in their inventory as excess.
  • The player's inventory has 2 pieces of wool. The counter's value is 1. Gregg has 2 pieces of wool. The player shears three more sheep: the counter's value is increased to 3, to its maximum value (not 4). The player hands over Gregg the last piece of wool, one piece of wool is removed from the player's inventory, RS:Varbit/11951 is set to 54 + 1 = 55, and this counter is decremented by one (set to 2). The player keeps excess wool in their inventory, if the player had any.
  • The player has completed the 2021 Easter event. The counter's value is 0. The player can increment the counter up to 3 by shearing three sheep.
