This talk page is for discussing the RuneScape:One Small Wiki Favour page.

This table contains possible future OSWF tasks and a short description of what the task consists of. Feel free to add any entries, but don't be disappointed if someone removes it if it's not realistically achievable as an OSWF task

Task name Scope Description Proposed by
Pest Control reward crowdsourcing Herb packs and seed packs - Ore packs seem static Needs people to gain Pest Control points to spend on rewards, then track the rewards given for each pack. Luna Lana
Farming crop pages All Seeds need a crop page User:Joeytje50/Farming has a task description about this, but in short, each crop article needs an {{Infobox Scenery}}, a paragraph of prose, {{Farming info}}, a list of "loot" from the patch (typically just a crop and possibly leaves), {{Growth stages}}, and navboxes/categories. Joeytje50
Update history Varies Dig through updates for a list of pages, adding update history for all relevant changes. Discord conversation
Interaction options Many tiny edits Go through Category:Needs options and add options to many pages. Using Chisel, this would probably be something like 500 pages for a bond, which is nice considering we have about 1000 pages in the category right now. Stolen from rsw:RS:OSWF
Category:Maintenance categories In-game checking and editing Several in-game lookup actions that could be crowd-sourced:
  • Weighing items which currently don't have exact weights
  • Figure out the amount of ticks an interaction takes, which should probably be fairly doable for people either with recording software, or a metronome.
  • Monster Examines on monsters that are particularly hard to examine without crowdsourcing.
  • Needs map (approx. 628) might fit in this. Not sure if we're able to get coordinates in other ways, but players can use the Lookup tool to gather the coordinates.
  • Perhaps more

Suggestions table at the top[edit source]

I've put a table at the top of this talk page, where people can freely add their suggestions for OSWF tasks. Otherwise people might forget an amazing idea, or an amazing idea might be crowded out by other discussions. Joeytje50 talk Santa hat.png 11:10, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
