Salve amulet (e) detail.png
A player enchanting the salve amulet.

The salve amulet (e) is the upgraded form of the salve amulet. It is created by using Tarn's diary on the normal version. When equipped this amulet will increase melee accuracy and damage by 20% against undead. To wear this item you must have completed the Tarn's Lair miniquest, which requires the Haunted Mine quest. Wearing the salve amulet (e) is an alternative to the black mask when faced with an undead slayer task requiring the helmet slot to be used up, such as the nosepeg for aberrant spectres.

The 20% strength and attack bonuses DO NOT stack with the black mask's 16.67% strength and attack bonuses (and, by extension, the Slayer Helmet) but DOES stack with Void Knight equipment. If the black mask and salve amulet are worn at the same time, only the salve amulet's bonuses will be applied.

The amulet can be upgraded to a salve amulet(ei) at the cost of 800,000 Nightmare Zone points. The imbued version will provide 20% accuracy and strength to both Ranged and Magic.

The bonus from the amulet does not work within Nightmare Zone.[1]
