Shadows are monsters which play a major role in the Mourning's End Part II quest, found within the Temple of Light. They have few Hitpoints and low Defence, however use accurate Melee attacks which can hit up to 13; having high Defence or activating the Protect from Melee prayer is HIGHLY recommended.

They seem to act as some kind of guard for the Temple of Light.

After completion of the quest Mourning's End Part II, the shadows will no longer be aggressive or even retaliate if attacked with the Crystal trinket in the player's inventory.

Strategy[edit | edit source]

Shadows do not hit very often with decent armour (70+ Defence and 100+ defensive bonus). As they only have 15 hitpoints, you can easily kill one or two to set a mirror in place. They respawn in 30 seconds.

Alternatively, you can bring plenty of Prayer potions and keep Protect from Melee on at all times.

Lastly, you can safespot the shadows behind pillars.
