Basilisks can be assigned as a Slayer task at level 40 Slayer, level 40 combat, and level 20 Defence by various slayer masters. They are found in the Fremennik Slayer Dungeon and Jormungand's Prison, the latter of which can only be accessed after completion of The Fremennik Exiles. Jormungand's Prison also contains Basilisk Knights, a more difficult version of Basilisks with more difficult mechanics and better drops. Players must equip a mirror shield or V's shield when fighting any Basilisk variant.
