The steel javelin is a type of member's only Ranged ammunition used by the light and heavy ballistas.

They can be fletched by attaching steel javelin heads to javelin shafts at level 32 Fletching, granting 75 experience per 15 javelins made. They can also be obtained by buying them from the Ranging Guild, the Void Knight Archery Store or from Oobapohk's Javelin Store after Monkey Madness II.

The Ranged Strength bonus of steel javelins has been decreased from +75 to +64.[1]

  • Steel javelins are no longer equippable in the Weapon slot, now being equippable in the Ammunition slot as ammo for ballistae.
  • The Ranged Attack bonus has been removed; previously, it was +12.
  • The Ranged Strength bonus has increased from +12 to +75.

  • The extra strong poisoned variant was renamed from "Steel javelin(+)" to "Steel javelin(p+)".
  • The super strong poisoned variant was renamed from "Steel javelin(s)" to "Steel javelin(p++)".
