A Strange grid can be found in the basement of the House on the Hill. During the Dragon Slayer II quest, players have to place all 24 map pieces on the grid to make a map to Lithkren.
When only using a few pieces on the grid, Dallas Jones will keep them until all remaining pieces are gathered, saving inventory space for the player.
