Swamp tar is required for crafting swamp paste for various repairing purposes. It can be distilled into lamp oil, which is used as fuel for various light sources, or be used to make guam, marrentill, tarromin, and harralander tar, which are used as bait and ammunition for salamanders.
Uses[edit | edit source]
Swamp paste[edit | edit source]
It can be combined with flour to produce raw swamp paste, and then heated on a fire to create swamp paste. Swamp paste is a sticky item used in the Sea Slug quest as well as the Shades of Mort'ton and Fishing Trawler minigames.
Herb tar[edit | edit source]
When combined with a Guam, marrentill, tarromin or harralander, swamp tar becomes a tar used in the Hunter skill as bait ingredient while catching salamanders. This paste also doubles as ammunition for the salamanders when used as a weapon. 1 herb is needed for every 15 swamp tar.
The action of creating the herb tar can be used in tick manipulation, allowing you to do certain actions faster.
