Can we get a drop table for these? 18:05, October 13, 2017 (UTC)J_ke

Cannoning Broodoo Victims[edit source]

looks like cannon has a max hit of 7 against them; someone going for tuber can get rid of them much more quickly with one. probably gonna edit it into the main page later but it seems impractical to bother with any other method, and it's more convenient than moving or world hopping. best spot for this is the north-east corner if using light jungle, as far as i can tell. To be honest, is bringing 4 cannon pieces and a bunch of relatively expensive cannonballs, in order to be able to have a max hit of 7, really more efficient than to bring a sack of 10 potatoes, a few antipoison potions (which are useful to drink after being attacked by a tribesman), and then hopping if you get a broodoo victim requiring Relicym's balm? Using a cannon you'll be wasting a lot of cannonballs on the surrounding jungle spiders, tribesmen, and jungle spiders as well. Not sure if this is really that practical. Curious what approach you're proposing here, to avoid those issues. PS: Antipoison can be restocked by hopping by the karamja general store. Joeytje50 talk Santa hat.png 20:42, 20 April 2021 (UTC)

that's really a lot of my own concerns with it but i'll explain my thinking first. naturally, most people going for tuber are going to be irons trying to finish the medium diary. medium diaries are commonly completed around "mid-game," when an iron might already start having spare supplies around, and has done questing, such as having prayer book from great brain robbery, removing the need for antipoisons. using a dds(p+) and cannon (placed to hit twice per revolution and only setup/reloaded when a broodoo victim is alive), you can avoid the time spent hopping since it'll be taken out in around a minute or so, and more importantly get a mask to partially compensate you. you'll spend more or equal time slashing jungle (which, btw, dense is better, needed to correct myself) compared to hopping, which can be more mobile-friendly as well. it really shouldn't happen too often in the first place, but for someone who is looking for tuber for diary, wants a few hundred extra trading sticks to be closer to unlocking brimhaven dungeon metal drag entrance, and wants a supply of masks for wildy bossing (assuming there's still some risks after the upcoming rework i guess), it could feel like a worthwhile trade-off. of course cannonballs are way more efficient on task though, so maybe it'd be best to take this approach while on a spider task as well. yes, an iron could still just use items on broodoo victims if they care about masks, but this is a far more passive way of getting the same result. i don't really agree with my earlier assessment that it's more practical than other options though and the spot in the north-east is irrelevant since dense jungle is preferred and the timfraku area for cutting jungle still would probably be best. plus, really, this would only be useful for someone who wants to maximize masks in the shortest amount of time to get the extra masks from relicym's balm-vulnerable victims. that's not very technically efficient unless you really think you need 50% more masks, lol.Pear (talk) 00:43, 22 April 2021 (UTC)

Actually, I would like to mention that I can do a max hit of 7 with an abyssal whip -- page currently erroneously says the max hit is 3. It might not be coded so specifically to max out at 3? BunsenGyro (talk) 21:42, 5 August 2022 (UTC)

Pale Broodoo Food Damage Calculation[edit source]

Do we have any data on how food damage is calculated? Having just done a spot of Tai Bwo Wannai Cleanup, it seems the max hit from feeding the pale Broodoo might be based on how much the item heals - bread and cooked meat from Jiminua's store generally hit around 6-8, where a complete cake from Ardougne would hit around 12ish. Spider on a stick, on the other hand, was able to hit 28 and 29, implying the local food might be hard-coded to be more effective. Any further testing y'all'd be willing to contribute would be appreciated. Kailithnir (talk) 11:00, 5 December 2021 (UTC)
