Rare drop table[edit source]

I found a Tooth Half of Key while hunting Catablepons for a slayer task on World 373 at 6:46 AM CST. I believe this monster has access to the Rare Drop Table, due to the mention that someone else found a Nature Talisman. This is also supported by the Emerald and Nature Talisman that I found myself. When trying to obtain the sceptre part I can confirm this. -- Recent uploads SpineTalkContribs 11:55, April 30, 2015 (UTC)

Cataplexy?[edit source]

could their name possibly be a reference to cataplexy? it is a disorder marked by muscle weakness, which would tie into them lowering the players strength. 2601:1C0:CA01:CBF0:C988:AD4A:2AF2:7322 03:50, 4 December 2020 (UTC)Xankek

According to Runescape Wiki, they are based on a mythical Ethiopian creature called a Catoblepas, however that is an interesting coincidence. Cata(cato) in greek is 'kata' which both share, and it means 'down'. It may be that the creature's effect of "its stare or breath could either turn people into stone, or kill them" that makes the strength decrease and it just so happens that that is similar.Choppe|T 05:02, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
