Hello everyone, I've been checking this strategy guide but noticed they're was some mystake probably. Sorry for my english i'm a french talker.
I think the setup recommanded is not appropriate. First for the boots unless people have elite diary you still need protection boots for all rooms in the karuulm dungeon.
Also it's impossible to fully pray as they attack with 2 style in melee distance: range and melee. I tryed to count a bit the attack on 20 drakes and had like 70% of range attack in total. I already noticed it before that range attack is a lot more common but wanted to count it first. So 20 is of course not enough to get a correct idea but i really think it's better to pray range and tank melee attack, if praying. So i would more recommand a typical melee armour (Bandos, barrows,...) and not the proselyte.
You can fully pray and have no dammage if you range the drakes and have full antifire protection. As they use only the range attack in range distance. Kills are a bit slower but it's duable easily for thoose struggling to melee them or thoose wanting no damage at all.
I haven't really find a coherent schema in the special attack in melee. I already had it as a first attack. Usualy, i count the special after 10 or 7 normal attacks, regardless of if i got hit or not. Looked random to me but it's probably not. Just can't figure out the schema.
Maybe someone could verify thoose informations and edit the guide page. Eventualy make a melee set up and a range set up to not have just the pray set up.
- I remember this page being made in a rush, I'll go through and fix it when I have a moment if no one has done it by then —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Luna Lana (talk) on 14:27, 6 July 2020 (UTC).
- It looks like someone is working on rewriting it? (Edit: I guess Luna got this one. *thumbs up*) First of I'd just like to say the boots are fine, you can use Brimstone boots without having done the diary. There's basically two different strategies as you pointed out. 1) magic/ranged while praying protect against missiles. if you dodge the fireball you don't even need antifire, and will take little to no damage. However this is slow. method 2) is tanking with melee. there i'd just recommend praying piety/chivalry. no point it praying protection prayers there as it will just drain your prayer faster. also full antifire protection is needed so players can opt to just tank the fireball, I find that the most convenient. --The scribe 14:53, 6 July 2020 (UTC)
Sorry, didnt saw boots where changed :) last week it was still holy sandals, primordial, dragon... That's why i said that. For the rest i let all of you think of best strategy, i'm usualy here to learn and i learn a lot. Just really tought for people who don't know them and come here for info that the setup was not really the best. Good continuation all of you! BlastYa (talk) 16:59, 6 July 2020 (UTC)
